Model shoot from today

I love her.. she is gorgeous! But.. that sharp shadow / highlight line on her forehead kills this one for me! That bright forearm draws the eye also... but not as bad as the forehead.

Yea, I don't care much for the shadow, it was from the light coming off the beauty dish, her hair cast the shadow. Very tricky lighting situation. Was around 2, used a ND filter and Beauty dish.

I love her hair she looks like my wife, I agree the first pick has some pretty harsh shadow lines, the second is well posed, but her face needs more light. Beautiful lady no doubt about that.love her hair, I'm a sucker for a red head, guess that why I married one, ~

First can I say that I love that you did not remove her freckles.

Lovely set of images, the second one is my favorite only because the shadow in #1. Very nicely done.

nice! i have a Profoto monolight and a beauty dish. I use an octobox because I can never master that dish thing. And the beauty dish would be MUCH more convenient for me on the mobile outdoor shoots.

I am beginning to love my Beauty Dish, I still am no where near a lighting pro, I have only been using strobes for a few months. The last two weeks I have been pushing myself hard with them.

The shadows add mood. Too many folks shoot without shadows and go for a blown out look. No shadows. No mood.

The shadows in the first one are ok, but they unfortunately emphasize some asymmetry in her face. Possibly what I am seeing is her hand lifting the corner of the left (her right) eye? None of us are perfectly symmetrical, part of the job of the photographer is to conceal the asymmetry

The second one is quite nice. She's a wonderful model, very interesting to look at.
