Hello again!

Bellow posted photo is just another piece of modern 'corporate style' glass architecture which can be found in most of the cities.
Its my effort to make it more interesting. Was it successful? I'm waiting for Your opinions (C&C are highly welcome)!

Yes mate, it works very well indeed. You have a very good eye for a strong composition.

I really like the aspect ratio, the curved lines inside a square which would sweep you eye out of the frame is balanced by the wavy jagged triangular edges of the reflection which brings my eye back in. The complexity of the reflection at the bottom left is balanced by the railing on the top right which frames it and contains this nicely. The evenly spaced lines which start at the top right add another visual interest and pull my eye back in. The tones are really good, the blue works well matching with the sky which still has some cloud detail.

The only thing I would possibly nitpick about is the vingette, I normally like it more when they are a bit less obvious but that may just be me, I do think that it does bring the attention to the centre well.

Good job!

Exquisitely done. Props. I have nothing to say except, "Print it BIG and hang it."

good job! I like it
my nit pick is vignette. especially in the left lower corner.

Thank You all for Your comments (special thanks for weepete because of comprehensively review)!
I usually try to avoid too obvious and strong vignettes at my photos. In this particular example my intention was to put viewers attention in the center of the photograph. Overall I guess that it wasn't the best idea - I will correct it after getting back to home.

"Print it BIG and hang it."

It may be a problem because of two factors:
1) Its made by Fuji x10 in the hardware supported DR mode (which implicates that after cropping it to square it has more or less 5 Mpix. If I want to hang it really BIG it won't be so impressive in my opinion.
2) My girlfriend is the main decorator in the House, while we have only brown/beige colors painted walls and I'm afraid it'd not be approved in this color tone ;)

I dig this. I'd be interested to see what the same shot would look like at dusk with the sun hitting the glass differently...

Thanks for Your opinion!
I'm afraid that it will be hard to present because its not at my hometown, so I have very limited opportunity to retake this photo (3 times a year tops). Additionally I have my concerns that it'd not be possible due to architecture of this building (its tight rotunda with little oval square inside), which implicates that on this side of the building sun most probably isn't visible during the dusk or sunrise.

Very cool. I wonder if a polarizer would be appropriate here. The reflections are beautiful and I like the deep blues, but when I first saw it, I couldn't quite figure out what it was a picture of.

Without the reflections, I think it'd still have enough interest. The patterns and curves of the building are beautiful.

Last thing, you seem to be a big fan of vignettes. I don't think it takes away from the picture here, but I personally only use a vignette as a subtle addition. The way you do it is fine, just weighing in. YMMV.

Where was this shot?

Edit: Followed on Flickr, by the way! Good stuff!

TehYoyo You are totally right about this vignette thing. I'm a big fan, however (believe or not) I do my best to put it in a right, most appropriate and definitely not domination way (yet It isn't a topic). I have my concerns about whether or not is this tasks successfully carried out in my photos. I'm glad that You said that it doesn't look exaggerated!

Loosing the reflections is quite interesting idea. On the other hand I'm afraid that avoiding it wouldn't be beneficial for the scene. Getting it more obvious can make it much less interesting - don't You think? Unfortunately this building isn't right just behind the corner and I have very limited opportunities to retake this photo :(
It was taken in Warsaw, here in Poland - its a "Metropolitan" building, which You can google out: Metropolitan Building in Warsaw - Home page (You can find photo gallery which will put You in the bigger picture :) ).

Thanks for following - I appreciate Your interest and do my best to satisfy by submitting more of the photo stuff!
