Monocacy Aqueduct Part 1

This is pretty much my first attempt at landscapes. I know that there are alot here, and I'm not looking for specifics, but I would love feedback on overall impressions of what's missing, where I need to improve, etc.

Again, I know there are a lot, but thanks for looking.

You have a Powershot, too, right?
Test out the "P"-function next time you take landscape photos. That function gives you the option to underexpose by 2 steps. These photos look like they could have benefitted from some deliberate underexposure. The "P"-function also gives you the option to determine the quality of your colours. You have a range from "EffectOff" via "Vivid" (V) over "Neutral" (N) to LS which stands for LowSharpening and Sepia (S) and Black+White (BW). "V" is nice in nature! (I'm suggesting this assuming that your Powershot - albeit being a different model from mine - still offers you more or less the same range of options).

LaFoto, Thanks for the comments. Yea, there are over 100 in this series, and these were the LEAST overexposed

I noticed that too.

Yup. Powershot S2. (what do you have again? The S1?) I do have the P feature and all the effects you mentioned. I will definitely try it. I think I shot them all on manual, but I'm not sure.

(also, it didn't come through so well when I dropped the pics down to 72 dpi, but the green in the last pic and the ones in the second series was way green...I thought of you (you do like green, right?)

But I would NOT want to go swimming in this water.................:shock:

that would just be gross!!!!!

The pic off the bridge (with the bridge shadow), I like becuase in the original, my shadow is right there on the water as well...gotta love PhotoShop!!

I also have a Powershot (A520) and I am mostly taking the photos in P or Av Mode.

How do you set it to underexpose by 2 steps?

Tiny.
Insignificant.
Looks like your very "tourist snapper", as my son once derisively called it, and with that I had to stand up at out Meet-Up in the UK in August

But it does not take the worst of all photos after all... and the EOS350D might be in sight (my "inbuilt Father Christmas" aka husband did mention it yesterday night!!!!).
