More Forida Birds - if u can help me identify them it'd be appreciated

I only know 3 different types of birds. duck, crow, and pigeon. all other birds are variants of those to me.

so that said, 1. duck 2. duck 3. crow 4. crow 5. pigeon.

i like the three ducks in #1 and the crow in #4 the most. in 4 it looks like the crow is about to take off, i think it would be better if you framed it with less wood and more space in the direction the crow is facing.

I don't really know my birds that well either, though I'm trying to learn.

But the first looks like an Ibis.
The second, I don't know. Duck, duck, goose.
The third one is too dark for me to tell much about it.
The fourth one--hmm. I thought it looked like a cowbird, but the beak is longer and darker than the cowbirds I'm used to seeing.
Last one--pretty sure that's a Tern.

The second one is most certainly a Muscovy Duck, the others I've no idea of I'm afraid.

BAHAHAHA... ok this was hysterical.

Granted, this is coming from me... a guy who calls every bird out there a "ducky" just to annoy his wife. :)

Anyway, I support sm4him's statement that the first bird is an ibis...

If you don't get any real solid answers, let me know and I'll ask my aunt to step in here. She's a long-standing Floridian and knows them all.

1 is American White Ibis, 5 is a Royal Tern..

I have no idea but your shoot's are amazing specially #1 and #2 images are very much attractive.

#1 is a White Ibis, as has been noted, #2 is a duck of some sort, not sure about the Muscovy duck, hard to tell without seeing the head properly (any more pics of this one?), #3 is just too dark to tell, #4, not sure of this one, but I don't believe it is a cowbird, unless this is some form of mating or juvenile plumage, #5 is a tern, most likely an adult Royal Tern in non-breeding plumage, alternatively, it could be an Elegant Tern in non-breeding plumage - I would need to see a better shot with the beak and back of the bird to really tie it down. Sorry I cannot help you any better than that.

One tip I'll pass on to interested people; if you get keen on birds try picking up an ID book. There should be a good few on the market and whilst they might be a bit costly they are well worth getting. Note that if you can you want to get ones that do identification via drawn pictures and not photographs. Photographs are ok, but drawn pictures often give a clearer display of subjects and the key identifiable parts of them - photographs can be harder to use since the information is always more complex on a real subject (a drawn ID can leave out damage, dirt, marks, and individual unique features that might otherwise confuse an identification - esp on very similar species or when dealing with juvenile birds).

Thank you all ! I had an hilarious time reading the comments This is me rolling with laughter on the floor :lmao:. I'm pleased to hear I have photographed ducks, crows and pigeons and am planning to add some photos of some "vultures" next - keep an eye out ;)
If it's any help N° 3 & 4 are actually the same kind of bird. There were loads of these birds flying around here - these were taken at the pier of Fort Myers. I've asked others what kind of bird this is but nobody seems to know the name.
