they are Russian Hamsters! and yes, they are fast, but jolly entertaining and they hop onto your hand to get their favourite foods. they're not particularly fast when you pick them up ... ie you can hold them quite easily (one at a time that is!) but i expect they'd soon be off if one was to drop them! :roll:
