The freezer, a tripod, and focus stacking are your best friends.
 
Rather than using a tripod rest on something. There are many good macro photographers who never use a tripod.
Focus stacking can be done using free software.
 
IMO, #2 is a real winner. While the processing is great, I love the composition. Whether or not the spider was actually crawling along (looks to be in the same position as in shot #3), the composition and angle, along with the bent legs of the spider, give it a real sense of movement. Very nice! :smile:
 
I have to say that I like the spider photos as well. They look like you used a macro lens not a kit lens.
 
Thanks everyone ^^ I am getting me some macro tubes in two/three days so I should be able to get more fun with spiders and other creatures :p

Might have some jobs in spring so I might get me some more equipment.
