More questions about the t2i

My friend recently purchased the t2i because he is interested in recording skateboarding as well
He was using an 8gb memory card and it stopped recording after about 3 seconds, understandable.
But now we tried putting my class 6 16gb sd card in and it is still only recording for under 10 seconds

Any ways you guys can give some pointers would be awesome
Hes shooting 1080p 24fps

i believe they make SD cards FOR HD video recording.. i don't know the name but it says HD video on the card IIRC

find a class 10+ SD card. the manual mentions that theres a meter on the side of the LCD that runs up and down (right side) and if it fills fully you have exceeded your SD card specs. shoot in 720 until you get a card able to handle 1080

The manual requires a Class 6 or higher for video. Tell your friend to look on page 123. Actually, he should probably just read that entire chapter. :er:

^ She is correct. I've recorded plenty of multiple-minute clips at 1080p and at 30fps, same with 720p and 60fps.. both with a class 6 SD card. I think he should call the manufacturer.
