I like the composition of this. I was curious why you chose the 1.4 tc for this, but maybe my first sentence holds the answer

"There be a fungus among us". LOL Nice catch. I stumble across several on my daily hike. I have a life long friend who's grandmother taught her at an early age which ones were safe to eat and which were not. I've tried to learn, but every time I get close to thinking I've got a safe one, I fortunately find out in time they really aren't. Since I have no desire to have my Fire Medic buddies see me swinging from the trees, I'll take the safe route and go to the produce department at the grocery store.

I was birding and came across this as an afterthought. One of the things I love about my 300 f/4 is that it will focus to 4 ft even with the 1.4 teleconverter. Almost like a 420mm macro
