They are not all that dangerous a friend of my brother in law was stung 3 times in one day (by different scorpions) and was not that affected.
There is one type which is quite poisonous - no idea if yours is or not.

Very cool. One of our guides on my Portugal vacation was a Scorpion expert and his main study so we talked a lot about them. Most scorpions are harmless to humans, very few can really harm us. The smaller scorpions (5-10cm I believe he said) have the more harmful venom because they don't have big pincers to hold down prey. The large scorpions with larger claws are less venomous.
