motion or no?

I like the no-motion shot; I think I would like the motion one even better if there were motion; as-is, it's just enough to look like you made a mistake, rather than a deliberate attempt to show motion.
 
Agreed. Catch a jogger in motion and the blur works. But particularly since the subject in the left image is OOF, I think you need the subject in the right shot to be sharp here.
