Mountain Snapshots

I was up in the mountains unexpectedly last Sunday and all we had was a little pocket sized Canon (S300). We still got some nice shots, it was a gorgeous mid winter day. We didn't even need a coat most of the day.

Snow blowing off Mt Princeton as seen from Trout Creek Pass.

Sunset north of Poncha Springs, CO. Both of these shot are in what I have always felt was the heart of the Colorado Mountains, the "real" Colorado. Salida, Buena Vista, Leadville area.

I decided to google "Trout Creek Pass" and came up with this page. One photo is almost identical to my first pic. They obviously pulled off at the exact same little spot on the miles long pass.
