Move Along

Yikes! We are a "right to open carry" state, that requires each store to post at the door if guns are allowed. At first there were a lot of people with guns walking around. It made me nervous, and I tended to give them a lot of distance, not because of the gun (I've had a concealed permit for years), but having a weapon out in the open also puts a target on you, and I didn't want to be next to a target. Now that the newest has worn off you don't see as many open carry.

Same thing here, although most folks are smart enough not to open carry around here. If things get hot, you don't want to have a firearm in your hand when LE show up.

A tense situation ... :eek-73:
A good story in that image!
Thanks guys - yep, though it is a more benign situation than it may appear ;) It's a building security guard, they often carry a slung shotgun like this, even guards at Starbucks... He's just chatting with a handyman carrying out some service on the building doorway :)

Lots of guards here - outside coffee shops, banks, condo units - everywhere and most either packing handguns or else they have these shotguns strapped across their chests.
Coming from the UK with (currently) unarmed police it was a bit different, I was used to foreign police carrying weapons of course but not coffee shop and condo/apartment building security(!)
