I skipped this one in theaters, but decided to rent it because of its good reviews.
It's always nice to see big Hollywood stars (Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet, Matt Damon) involved in movie projects that have a meaning that transcends normal Hollywood ho-hum. With it's star-studded cast and eerie premise, this film delivers, for the most part.
The good: The story is as believable as it is unsettling. The film captures how an incurable virus can travel through the population at an expenonential rate with devestating consequences.
The bad: The film is probably 10-20 minutes too long, as the strength and impact begin to wane in the closing the scenes.
Overall, I'd give this 4/5 stars. At the very least it's going to make you think twice about washing your hands more frequently.
