Driving home from a golf tournament yesterday and there were some nasty storms...Got this shot of Mt. Monadnock in New Hampshire...

15 sec., F18, 100 iso...3 exposures blended

Pretty nice. I live not too far from Mt. Monadnock. Where were you when you took the picture?

Overall, I like it. I'm not sure what "blended" means, but I can see that the shot has color guts.

These are my favorite conditions, civil twilight, filtered, and ambient and all that stuff. This is when color does its job. Long exposures capture what we can't translate in our head as things change too fast.

Again, nice shot but sort of pale.

So anyhow, here's an unsolicited edit.

I can't see your shot Garrentee, but I like the edit, so I'm pretty sure that I'll like your shot. I'll take a look at it when I get home (where my computer doesn't block the hosting site).

I can't say I like the edit much. The foliage is FAR to green, it doesn't look natural. Especially not in New Hampshire. I would have, however, bring out the warmth and bring out the brilliance, just not as much.
This is what I did.

I did this with Nik Color Efex Pro 2 - the brilliance and warmth filter set at Brilliance 65% and Warmth at 85% and used the Deep Red Photo filter in the Images > Adjustment set at 20%.

This looks a lot more natural to me, having lived here for over 20 years. I hope you like and don't mind the natives input

Lowered contrast a bit.
Lowered hue a bit.
Saturation a bit higher.

Im just learning photoshop so I thought I would give it a go

I think if we blended all of the edits together we'd end up with the original shot.

Am I the only one that was bugged by the flower blossom in the foreground? I'm certain that's what it was, but if it were shot here in California it'd be a 'tissue.'
