Multiple Exposure, film vs digital and the art of Francesca Woodman

hello everyone, i just happened to found the beautiful work of Francesca Woodman, I am a big fan of black and white film and lo-fi quality and her photos just captivated me... It is really interested how it is somehow so "easy" so achieve these kind of atmosphere with film and definitely not that easy with digital cameras... For what reason do you guys think digital photography somehow have missed its magic, its spirit or ghost... images below by Francesca Woodman - Source images

Nice to meet you Kenish. I am fan of film as well, but about that later.
Sorry to say that, but I am not quite shure if you can post this pictures here, this are not yours. We just use links to show something of an interest. Mod may tread this as copyright infringement.
Back to us. Nothing tells me this pictures are a multiexposures. This looks like staged photographs, quite easy to be duplicated (to late, idea taken) just maybe without this great perfection. And they don't look to me like lo-fi, but it would be interesting to shoot something similar with Holga or maybe rather with some old folder like Ansco Speedex Junior.

Photographs like these are in the first place not low fi at all, and in the second place just as easy to shoot with digital as with film. The medium hasn't got much of anything to do with it.

I don't happen to much like Francesca, but she definitely had vision and discipline, two things I am appreciating more and more these days. She could make art. It happens to be art I don't much care for, but art is it, and art driven by clarity of vision and long difficult work.

Thank your for your comments, I found it really helpful. I hope posting the images was ok... I was just trying to mention an artist I happen to like and comment on it.
Also regarding the lo-fi. I know these images aren't lo fi but I was just thinking it looks "somehow similar"... an effect that a lot of people try to get nowadays using lo fi cameras... etc.
