C&C Please :) I'm trying to learn as much as I can.
Taken with Nikon D5000 and Tamron 90 macro, on aperture priority and handheld

Not sure whether depth of field here is appropriate or not, maybe a bit too shallow?
Any tips would be hugely appreciated

I don't like the first one, abit to much of the mushroom?
i actually do like the second one, really special.

I think the first is a tad overexposed to my liking.

I like composition of the first one (I agree, maybe slightly overexposed). Nice background.

Thanks, I decreased the exposure by 0.5 in the first one if that helps

looks ok, try different angles and see what you get, would be nice is the shroom had more colors or the background was a richer green.

Great lens though, im still yet to take mine outside.

Makes me hungry...

I really like the composition of the first one. I actually think the exposure is not too bad, although on the edge of going over. It'd be nice if it was a bit warmer though. Personally, I'd tweak the white balance to cloudy or shade minus 1 or 2 stops to give it a warmer feel.

I'm not getting much from the second one. For me it's just a mushroom head with out context or deliberate composition.
