Muskrat and Cottontail

Had a nice break in the weather and took a little trip around town and found these two critters.

That cottontail rabbit posed for you like this? Wow. Lucky you! Whenever I come past wildlife here, they run from me! :shock:
And the muskrats live there out in the wild, too, where you are? I only know them from that one wildlife park nearby - have you ever seen the babies? They're cute! Born complete and fully-haired like guinea pigs, just small. Furry hairballs .

There are muskrats all over both states I have lived in; Montana and Wyoming. There is a lake in town here and it has a few muskrats. I am always watching for the babies, I haven't seen any yet, but there should be some sometime.

And yes the rabbit posed. that is an uncropped shot. he was around 12 ft away I would guess.
