My Attempt at Black and White (8 Pictures)

I shot these B&W’s this spring and summer, trying to get a little better at it. These were shot with my Nikon 8400 Coolpix set to Monochrome setting.

#5 and 7 are my favorites...nicely done!

So you really PLANNED for these to be black and whites? Good. I think they become stronger and stronger, as we scroll, and my favourite two ALSO are 5 and 7! There must be something about those two ... ! But I also quite like all the gauges and valves on the fire truck in 6!!!

Yup i agree pretty good stuff. Some nice B&W tones there, not the typicalish (nothing to do with tropical fish) flat tones you sometimes see from digital cameras.

#5 is the main post office in Manhattan.

#7 is from Long Island. Those are considered to be the largest speciemens of Dawn Redwood in the US. They rank up there in the world, also.
