My Birthday present to me

I'm having a hard time deciding...


So far, my choices are:

* Manual focus camera with a few lenses (most likely a Canon F-1 or EF).

* (Nice) Dart Board with some nice darts.

* Or, Equipment to develop my own film.

They are all going to be roughly the same price, so that isn't an issue.

What would you buy?



I know, on a photography forum, the dart board isn't likely to be the most popular option... It is the most 'fun' though...

I want all of them equally, that's why I can't decide.


It's so hard to decide... Each has it's own special pluses. I can't really think of any negatives for any of these options.

Unless someone gives me a compelling reason to go with one over the others, it's going to come down to a spur-of-the-moment decision. Whatever seems the coolest at the moment.

I threw competitive league darts for a number of years. Our team actually progressed to the "A" division, but it wasn't too much fun there.

Make sure it's a bristle board.... mine is a Nodor board and I use 22-24 gram darts.

:hug:: .... I think you should purchase what you WANT not what you NEED. It is your birthday and it should make you happy. That's all that's important. Which one would make you the happiest. Which one will put a frown on your face if you pass it in a store window because you didn't buy it.

Ouch. Tough one.... I love to throw darts as well. I've got two dart boards downstairs, a bristle & electric....which one are you considering?

I've got a canon AE1-P that I like to use on occassion. I haven't developed my own in ages, but if I did, I may shoot more film.....

If I go the dart board route, it will be a Winmau Blade III Bristle Board, with tungsten darts, and probably a backboard to protect the wall from my wife, lol.

The answer to both questions is - all of them. I would never be unhappy with any of these choices..., I have too many hobbies.

OK, you've done your homework. I've got a Winmau BIII with Bottelsen Hammerhead tungstens....go for it (and the backboard is a good idea).
