I think she needs more room "to look into"...sort of like this crop shows; less space on the left side, and more space on the right side. Unfortunately, cropping this has caused the image to be rather tall, and narrow.

I am agree with you, and your crop makes sence. First I was tried to keep more her hand, right hand was crop when I took the pic, two I would try to keep the photo to be able to print on photo paper.
