Be Honest but please be helpful. don't just say.. that sucks. Thanks in advance and I promise I can handle it so please help me!

Here are my thoughts, I hope they help:

#1 - Dramatic, and nicely exposed, this would make a good background, if there were something for a foreground.

#2 - Technically well-done, but there's nothing of particular interest about the shot or the angle.

#3 & 4 - I really like the idea. It would be helped by having something, like a child or puppy, in the light area. Or something totally offbeat and unexpected. Also, exposure is too dark and then too light. This scene would be a good candidate for HDR, although I would leave the bushes fairly dark to better focus attention on the light. I like the intimacy of the scene.

#5 - A nice capture of the bark texture, but what makes this type of photo work best is when there is something to break the monotony - like a bug or lizard off to one side.

Sums it up pretty well I think.

Really not sure what you are going for in 3 and 4...

honestly these are the first few 50 shots with the cam. These are really mainly just shots to play with exposure and composition. Not really anything spectacular or artistic at this point. Appreciate the feedback! Thanks! Not really familiar with HDR?

HDR is a method for taking several exposures at different settings and using the best exposed parts from each image in a final composite. You can easily find all the details on Google.

Thanks for info and I will number pics from now on.

That's what I thought. None of those really grabbed me, composition-wise.

Numbers 3 and 4 have already been done. There is a famous photograph titled something like "The Walk to Paradise Garden." by a famous photographer, maybe W.Eugene Smith. It is considered one of the 20th century's enigmatic images. Yours could be so, but will need work.

N.B.: I looked it up for you, try this LINK
