The pictures on the wall aren't centered in the image.

All you needed to do was scoot over to the right, maybe a half step, to center everything.

Symmetry is calming, which would add to the "loneliness" you are trying to convey in the image.

I would also like to see a little more space below the chair, and above the picture frame. This image could easily be well done, but right now it just looks sloppy.

Are you going to try again, or have you moved on from this?

I will give it another try very soon .. noting the symetry, space and shadows.. lets improve the image

I like the lighting much better in this image... and I had to turn my monitor a little bit so that it didn't look like it was leaning... So I'm thinking maybe it was just the angle I was looking at the monitor that made it seem like it was leaning...

IDK, but this is better IMO.
