My fellow D10 users - I need help here!

Hi all my fellow D10 users.

I recently took some pics in RAW format, saved them to my PC (XP 2002)
I downloaded them and they were saved as two files: one with with .crw extension and the other with .thm extension.

Photoshop did not seem to recognize the format. I tried renaming the extension with .raw but photoshop just came up with a dialogue box that wasn't very helpful.

Any suggestions from other PC users with D10?

Sounds like the raw file is propietary to canon and requires the software that came with the camera to open. Otherwise Adobe Photoshop CS is the first version to offer support for RAW images.

The File Viewer Utility program that came with the camera let you make your adjustments and then save it as a jpg, the odd thing is that Phshop Elements comes with the camera

Depending on what version of PS you have this might help.

yupp, 2nd the Adobe Photo Raw plug-in for PS 7.
Guess it's time to upgrade... the plug-in is build in in PS 8.
Otherwise use the original Canon software (sucks big time)
