My first attempt.

Hi there. This is my first attempt at macro shooting. Im using a Sony A380 with a Sigma 70-300mm DG macro lens. I saw these in arundel and had a few minutes to spare so thought why not experiment..!! Hope they aren't too horrificly bad. I was quite pleased with the very first one coming out not to bad.

Technically they are not bad, but to me they lack a central point of interest. Macro needs to be just like any other photograph, something to catch the eye and center interest on.

Thank you. I really wanted to get a photo of the inside of the flower but it was too high up, wasn't sure the locals would appreiate me climbing on their cars. shame really as they are beautiful flowers.
