My first macro shot, C&C please.

I shot this with my Canon T3 using the kit lens and macro rings. F5, 1/200 with flash. You can see the flash on the pupil, I was using a Gary Fong Puffer.

Comments welcome. Also, how can I get a good shot like this without having a flash spot?

Must use an off-camera flash or light without flash.
