Really rare...and really skittish..this was the first one that let me get close enough!

pretty cool orion, I have heard but haven't verified that if you take one of those co2 cans that spray air to clean of keyboards and stuff, well if you tip that upside down it's like liquid nitrogen and you freeze the bug and then can take your time with the picture... not sure how well it works but in theory it makes sense.

Wow...wouldn't that kill the bugs we spray on?

Yes it would kill the bugs... if it is an endangered bug I wouldn't suggest it. I've heard it's a good trick on flies, wasps, things that don't like to stay still.
