I'm very excited about the editing. Here is the first edits. I'll add more in a few minutes. I was just too excited to wait and now I have to get MY baby to bed.

Next time postion the blanket so you can read the text without having to tilt the head sideways.

Love #3

Thanks Fran! Very good point and I'll keep that in mind for the next time!

Edited the original post to add the link to the whole set. :)

I'm not digging the lighting

Thanks for the input, Gary. Was all natural light. We were in the nursery with a big window. Is it just too bright? Or something else?

Do you have one of the 4 way reflectors ? i would have used the diffuser part to soften the light its a bit harsh and also bounced a bit back
or moved him out of the bright light and bounced the light back to make it softer

Ahh that's nice, good composition. perhaps softening the light coming into the room, something as simple as a spare white bed sheet can be very useful soften light.

He totally was! His mom would sweet talk him and he'd just grin. Was TOO cute!

Thanks mark and erose!

I do not have any reflectors. I thought about getting a piece of poster board, but didn't. That's a long story that will just sound like an excuse, so I'll spare you. :lmao: I should have hung the white sheet over the window, but I was afraid it would block too much light. Doh. :er: No excuses there, I should have just tried it and worked with it or without it based on the results.

Thanks for the advice, though. I'll be on the lookout for a good reflector to go to my "To buy with tax money" list.

You probably could have hung the sheet at the window a placed him very close to the window and it would have been nice and soft

Nice set! I'm liking the lighting, and the lack of post processing. Clean and natural, the way newborn shoots should be :)

I couldn't get really close to the window. There was a HUGE hope chest in front of it and I couldn't move it and Mom sure couldn't 4 days after labor. :lmao:

I plan on going back, though. I'll take all this advice with me!

Thanks Rausch! I'm out of thanks, though. :(
