my first post. a beach lighthouse

Like I said it's my first post as an amateur picture taker. (I'm not a photographer yet). Let me know what ya think.

This is just personal preference, but I think shots like this are very unpleasant to the eye. I've never been a fan of sun glared photographs. I would have moved 6 inches to the right. Just far enough for the lighthouse to hide the sun, without removing its effect on the clouds. Then I would have exposed the lighthouse a bit more.

Few days ago i watched a TV show Masters of Horror, episode's name "Cigarette burns". This photo could EASILY qualify as one of the quickly changing scenes from the infamous movie played in that episode, called "La fin absolue du monde" (translates into "the absolute end of the world"). No, i wouldn't call this image bad or not interesting, this was my attempt to explain how I thought you had captured an interesting image.

I'm wondering why this wasn't in vertical format. After all, that is what this tower is all about; verticality, yet you want to lay it on its side for some reason. I hope you took several more shots, or perhaps just turn this shot upright.

Looks like a walking upright shot to me Lol. Or he was on the ground
