Maybe its just me but it looks a bit dark to me... maybe a bit of fill flash??? Then again maybe its just my eyes...

Nice shot, good colours and dof. Like the others say, on camera flash would've helped bring out the child more as his face is kinda dark. Then with the flash you could probably stop down a little for the background which won't give you the washed out highlights on the top of his hair and the front of the rock.

Thanks, Definitely makes sense, the grandson moves so fast I wasnt even ready, my wife said quick grab your camera.
