Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Bought a Nikon d3000 earlier today and took these photos this evening my first set of photos since i was at college 4 years ago so trying to get used to this camera whilst remembering everything would appreciate some constructive criticism.

Ive edited a few just changed to black and white through adobe light room but thats all that has been done to them.

A bit bland, i only like 3 because i'm mad on motorbikes

I am new here, and at photography so my critique would not be very helpful in the least. I do however like #2! Sorry I couldn't be more help.. :)

Congrats, all you need to remember is to keep it simple and use aperature priority and try out the different metering modes to get you used to how the camera responds to the changes. Keep shooting and thanks for sharing. Hopefully you have a decent weekend where you can go outdoors and really put it to a test.

Shoot well, Joe

Few night long exposure shots of the m6, was typical that it was practically empty.

Done a few other night shots only a few came out good though. I couldnt get the ballance between light off street lamps and my flash, the flash was always to harsh but the lights wernt bright enough any ideas on overcoming this?

You're gonna have to keep it to about 5 per post at the most. Too many things to look at! :)

I figured if i kept it in one thread its less spamming like
just what ive learnt from forums this one must be different

for the chess one at least to me i think a little more DOF would be better so that the white peices are in focus too.

I like the passageway pics with the guy. It seems mysterious. They could have been leveled better though.

Postman158 - The motorway pictures the shutter was about 6-8 seconds i think

cm_cnnr - I did have a picture with more DOF but i prefered focusing on the one side/set of pieces i thought it looked better, difference of opinions i supose

Soulz3urn3black - The passageway pictures its actually my brother who is in the picture went for the ghetto/rap image for it. Can you explain what you mean "could have been leveled better though"?
