My first sunrise attempt

One of my first sunrise attempts. I'm for the most part happy with this photo.

it is nice... not great... though not awful..... but nice... the windmill detracts from the image as my eye is instantly drawn to it

Thanks for commenting. I have other images without the windmill however, I found after reviewing them that I liked this one the best. The photos without the windmill were boring. I feel the windmill gives the image depth and gives the viewer something extra to view. I was hoping that your eyes would follow the bright clouds into the windmill.

A series of windmills silhouetted against the sky into the distance might give the photo more depth, but I don't see that element here.

If the blades of the windmill showed as much detail as the bottom third of tower I wouldn't mind it. As it stands, I'm not a fan of it. (get it? Fan?)

Also, it feels that the horizon is leaning, and I want to fall off my chair to the left. I don't know that it is leaning, but it the way is looks, and the orientation o the windmill makes it feel that way.

Whatever here are my thoughts :

Great shot. I really like it. I agree with binga63. In my opinion, the image would be much better without the windmill. Honestly, I like the sky color : it's beautiful.

Yeah what does he think he's like a comedian or sumthin tsss tsss. Chip chipperson...

Seriously I thought I had the horizon level. I actually used the grid when I free rotated it. It seems to be an overwhelming opinion that I should have left the "fan" out. I guess next time I'll post A photo without.
