My First Thread and First picture

I just got a new camera on Friday...I went from 1.75 megapixels to 8 megapixels and I am in awe of this camera...Here is the first picture I took of my daughter and my cat. Right now I am trying to learn all I can about digital photography...I look forward to learning from everyone...

Thanks for the welcome...I am having a blast with my new "TOY"...
Here is a shot I took this past fall with my old camera...I don't know how the words blurred, they were fine in the original?
