TPF Noob!
Well...wasn't expecting this today!
Dubuque Regional Airport is hosting the an armada of vintage World War II training aircraft. They are here practicing their formation flying for their mass fly-in into the huge EAA Oshkosh Airshow. In total there is probably close to 100 aircraft on the field. I had been working out in the hot sun for about 4 hours and decided to step inside the hanger to listen in on a briefing. Before long I was being asked if I wanted to tag along with 25 other T-6's that were going up to practice formation flight. The next thing I knew it I'm strapping on a parachute and sitting in a 63 year old T-6 Texan. The flight lasted a little over 30 mintues in various positions with the other aircraft. What an experience...I'll never forget it!
