My Friend, the Juicer

Hi,

I'm new to the forum and pretty new to photography. I live in Iraq and have access to a 5DMKII, but I don't have anyone around to critique my photos.

I was hoping you could help me with that. Here's one I took the other day of my friend in the market. I blurred everything in the window behind him a bit and sharpened everything else. I also upped the saturation a little and added a slight vignette. Please critique.

I all ways like life pics like this. Great colour pallet. The subject looks a little stiff and he isn't doing anything. Might have been nice to catch him in action.

Thanks! I've enjoyed these kinds of pics as well. Regarding the stiffness: I agree. This was taken in northern Iraq, and most of the time you point a camera at someone here they get really stoic. Getting people to loosen up is tough, but hopefully I'll get better at it.
