My Honeymoon to the 50th state

Alrighty, so I recently got married on June 14th, 2009, then we go on our honeymoon to the most common honeymoon area, Hawaii. We first went to Oahu, then to Maui. I started editing the pictures backwards from the actual chronological order, so you are going to get a backwards picture viewing. And don't worry, I have a descent "test" shot from the Canon 100-400 somewhere in the middle of the trip. I didn't take too many pictures in Maui, since we were doing a ton of water activities, Alrighty, here we go.

One of the nights, just took a couple quick sunset shots along shore.

My last usable day in HI we took a tour on the Road to Hana. Anyone that likes to take pictures, mark this on your "to do" I took 800 pictures on that trip alone. (Only day I really took any pictures)

On the way to Hana we stopped by a Pineapple Field.

Then we stopped near the beginning of the "Road to Hana"

And that's all you get for now until I have time to edit and resize the rest.

Well within the "Road to Hana" these are the views that you get, and there are plenty more to spare

This guy was sticking out, just begging to be photographed. This was with my 70-200 f/4L

This small little cove, waves kept hitting the rocks making for great photo ops

I don't know why, but I like to take pictures of the moss growing on these ledges.

Waterfall from far. There were about 10 good sized waterfalls on along the way. Man it is so awesomely green there.

And here is a closeup of the inside of this Black Lava Tunnel. It was about 30ft. long. I didn't really capture a good picture inside to show off this thing.

I have no idea why people think it's okay to write their names on plants, but it makes for some cool photos.

Resting Place for Charles Lindbergh. You should see the view he has.

These threes are so crazy. They have a large base, and then all of the branch grown roots down, until they are able to root themselves in the ground. Sometimes you just see roots dangling from the branch just waiting to get long enough to root up in the ground. Too bad I don't have a picture of the whole thing. (I think i have one from the other island)

It's too bad on these tours you don't really get time to explore, I would like to find out where this path leads you.

The 7 sacred pools became the roaring rapids the day I went.

The Church there on the right has an amazing view. I might be a church goer if I had something like that to look forward too.

Just trying this method out. It's not HDR, you just move the black, and fill sliders on LR2.

This is all I have for Maui. Next up Oahu. I have around 1500 pictures from that Island, but at least half are surfing photos, So I probably won't try to overwhelm this place with the same surfing pictures. Until next week ...

Alright a few more. This is the first part of the honeymoon, we are in Oahu. I have weeded out quite a few, since alot of them were continuous shots from surfing.

It seems like everyone out there was a body boarder, and alot of them used those as surfboards. This guy was amazing.
