My new 35mm toys

I got this K1000 in the mail today via ebay. I had the non-SE version 20 years ago and loved it.

I bought the K1000 with birthday money from my inlaws. Having lunch with them yesterday I told them about my ebay purchase and they gave me their 30 year old Pentax ME-Super. I discovered that it will not set the shutter though. The winder keeps winding without stopping.

I don't know what digital camera you have but Pentax make pretty decent lenses. These two should fit on current Pentax digital bodies.

Thanks, Yea I have a Nikon D5000. I always loved my Pentax 50mm lens so I got a 35mm prime for my Nikon.

Enjoy! I used Pentax film cameras until a few years ago when I bought a Canon XTi. I never had a K1000, but I had an MX way back when, and then later a Super Program and a P3n. I used the 50/1.7, 100/2.8 and 40/2.8 lenses most often. Yours look like they're in great shape.

Thanks everyone! The K1000 was listed as near mint so I appreciate the seller for it actually being a super clean unit. It seems in great working order. I'll post results after a roll of film.

I'm sad about the ME not working. Her parents bought it in 1981 for her HS graduation pics. They only used one roll of film. I even have the receipt from the camera store. I understand it's a common problem with stored ME's.
