My New M91

My New Mosin Nagant M91. Well, it's not new..... it's damn near 100 years old. This was made in Russia, and captured by the other side at one point, becoming progerty o the Bulgarians. I absolutely love the look and teture of old wood and steel.... this is cerainly no excpetion. The texture, and wear just tells a story.

Also, it's kind of neat what kind of images you can come up with with just an on camera speed light and a home-made bounce card. :mrgreen: hese were taken for documentation for insurance purposes, but look kind of neat. After this one, I gave up on the On camera flash, and grabbed a white background, a couple of lightstands and umbrellas and got some much better pics of the others. NOt real high artistic value here, but these are nice though. And a very nice piece of history.

I feel kinda cloister phobic, do u have any whole body shots? I sill like it though as you are getting a lot of texture here...

I don't. This thing is over 4' long, and I don't have anywhere in my house with enough space, or the necessary lenses to where I can get a full length shot without distorting the image with wide angle and/or getting a quality image, rather than just a snapshot.

Soon though. Very soon. I hope to set up a shoot in my buddy's basement where he has enough space for a bonifide studio.

There is such depth and feeling in that old wood and steel. I love old things, and this is just splendid. And what history!

The oldest firearm I own is a 1964 Remington .243 and the newest is a Heckler & Koch Compact USP .40.

I just picked up a Flobert rifle chambered in 6.5mm from 1877.
