My new neighbors (birds)

This past winter I put up a feeder, and now that it's spring the birds are finally finding it. I also put up a dinky little birdhouse, and as of day-before-yesterday, I now have new neighbors--a pair of purple martins scouted it out for a couple days, and moved in last night.

Arent they the sweetest things.....really, aggressive little bastards around the feeder, when you get to watching them. I just love birds!!

Yeah, any idea how difficult it is to shoot a 4" bird in flight from 30 ft away with a 300mm zoom at full extension?! :shock: :lol:

And I thought taking pictures of my fish was tough!!! I ran off about 50 shots of the birds, and these 2 were the only ones that weren't just boring "oh look a bird on top of its birdhouse" shots. :lol:
