Interesting, but I am not sure why you chose these poses, particularly the first one - you cropped the back half of his body off, as well, a lot of it is out of focus. For the second one, it seems that only his eyes and maybe parts of his ears are in focus. If you are going to take "pet pictures", then maybe you might want to think of this as "animal portraiture" and check out rules for placement of objects in images - rule of thirds, etc. I also, think that your white balance might be off a bit, particularly in the second one.

Other advice, if you are going to post images, you are better off numbering them and posting them all in one post, rather than having two seperate posts. HTH.

Rabbits can be almost as tough to photograph well as ferrets. A few suggestions: Try shooting when he (she?) is sitting more upright. With the relatively shorter body, you own't run into depth of field problems and there will be more mocha in focus. Get down, to his eye level. Lay down on the floor when you shoot.. Rabbits are very curious animals and it won't take long before he comes over to investigate you... Move slowly and follow him, you'll get some good shots. Also, try getting a little further back so that there's more empty space around him. That will ensure that you don't clip off any ears or hoppers... you can always crop the image after, but it's a lot harder to add things that are missing from the start.

Keep working on it!
