My photos all soft?

I'm having an extremely hard time with my photos all coming out soft. On my camera, they loo great, but I get them home and the VAST MAJORITY of them are actually soft. What do I need to do to make sure that this does not keep happening?

Not an expert, but I was using a software to convert my photo's, which was making them soft. Could be that. Especially if you are having the same problem with all your images.

Maybe post a couple of pics on here so the more experienced photographers can see exactly what you mean.

The rear LCD on digital cameras is to small to be used to critically evaluate image quality. The rear LCD is only intended to be used to verify framing and composition.

Focus can be checked by zooming into the image that is displayed, but that also has it's limits.

Additionall, all digitla cameras have a group of filter in front of the image sensor. One of those filters known as the anti-aliasing (AA) filter, or low-pass filter, softens the sharpeness of every image made by the camera.

You missed the Beyer pattern on the sensor itself. The final resulting image of a digital camera is the result of interpolated sensor data.

Basically with all this together what we're trying to say is that you need to investigate some kind of software sharpening solution if you perceive your images as too soft.
