It was a good workout for me though.. lol manual mode on an indoor outdoor party with terrible lighting indoors.. yup, that was fun. Oh, did I mention guests actually arrived right on time for the party? lol But my husband was out buying the most Cinco de Mayo pinata he could find.. and I was SO not ready for anyone yet.. lol Man, birthday parties are stressful!

Cute!! I have done 24 birthday parties...my boys are 15, 8 and 1...they are exhausting It looks like it was a huge success....happy birthday to your little one!

Well happy birthday and Cinco de Mayo to your little one! It also happens to be my and my wife's anniversary - we had no idea what Cinco de Mayo was when we planned the date back in the day.

Nice shots. My favorite is the one with your son carrying the balloons through the door as if to say, "Let's get this party started!"

Well, I had to call Amazon yesterday.. the seller had been in touch since I have ordered and kept telling me it was on the way, blabla.. last I heard was last week it would be here either Wed or Thurs of this week.. so yesterday when there was still no updated tracking on a USPS priority mail package 2-3 day delivery I emailed him again and got the message kicked back to me by Amazon saying they had left the platform. Yeah, that just happened. So I call, Amazon files an A-Z claim and I basically threw a fit and made them expedite it because they tried to tell me 1-2 weeks processing.. aaand now I'm just waiting on my bank to clear the refund. I think I'm going to order refurb through Cameta for the 1 yr warranty, but of course they are closed for a few days??? lol WHY MEEEEEEEE??

Happy Anniversary! We live really close to Mexico, so the locals that work at the hospital loved his birthday. lol My hubs was hoping for a star wars baby on the 4th or 6th I think. May the fourth be with you // revenge of the sixth. I was just glad we finally got that child out.. he was due April 28th. lol

Could easily be too much.
My main point is that decent lenses, decent light and enough shutter speed will produce good images buried within snapshots.
These 'found' images are so much more satisfying than any posed, lighted perfection because you are actually seeing and capturing life as it happens.
