my very first family session

I finally got the guts to ask a friend if I could take family pics of them. Here is my result. I know they are not technically perfect; I was so nervous! And frazzled, two kids under 3!! I messed up on some of my settings and they are not as sharp as I would wish but I wanted to share anyway. Oh and I am getting my new lens this week (yay) 28mm 1.8

Not bad. Minor tid bits to work on, getting lower, framing but I do like the color and processing.

cute shots! A bit too much flare for my tastes, but nicely done.

#4 is probably my favorite... and #6 with the Half-Dad, I would toss... but overall, not bad.

Your framing is a bit awkward. Center #1 and #3. Straighten the horizon in 3.
#2 would have been nice shot in portrait.

Work on your composition.

On this, I'd rather sacrifice her foot than look at all that blanket, particularly because you cut it off on the right.
It kills the balance.
I am guessing you were wanting all the space on th left because big sis was looking that way.
In my opinion, baby anchors the viewer. I think this crop makes for a fantastic wallet or 8x10 framer.

Also, in the original, I feel the three bright spots in the tree line draw attention. Like 3 more things cut by the frame (like the blanket.
