I love the first photo. Its nice and crisp, great focus on the eyes and the PP is very nicely done. I think the only "issue" I have with it would be that the right side of her face and neck is a little blown out to me. Its not bad though since her dark hair helps keep the outer line of her face there but I feel like it could have just a little more detail.

But, I like them. Good job.

Too much processing on the eyes on the first one, to my taste. Looks like a pair of eyes peering at me out of the mist. Otherwise, it's wonderful.

The second one is a little.. I'm not sure what. She looks a little nervous or scared. It feels like a scene in a movie just before something bad happens. Technically solid, and if you're going for that feeling, awesome. If you were going for softly romantic and thoughtful, well, you missed for *me* on that.

I LOVE the first one. Processing is great, but... I KIND OF agree with amolitor on this one. My only wish is that the darks in the lips were on par with the darks in the eyes. Gorgeous!
I really like the lighting on the second one, but the reflection on the glasses on the eye closest us is a draw.

Thanks for the input. My daughter has pretty much no color in her lips so when she forgets her lipstick/gloss I always run into that issue. Her eyes are actually silver in color so they always look pretty wild. The one of my wife was in 104 degree temps after shooting for a while, so I think her look is "are we done yet?"

I didn't catch the glare right away and thought it was close enough to her eye to get away with it. I couldn't figure a way to remove it without ruining her eye. Any tips on that? thanks!

I like the processing in the first one, only thing that I dislike is that her skin seems overly smooth. Maybe her skin is just THAT flawless, but it kind of looks photoshopped.

That's funny! I learned a while back from a guy that horizonal portraits (which I do love) since I prefer environment portraits, are easier to work with. You can always make a horizontal portrait verticle, but not the other way around!
