taken about a year ago in Downtown L.A., across from the Bradbury Building. New image, more extreme crop.
I wondered why Anthony Quinn was immortalized on this building ad, a neighborhood that has mostly Mexican roots. Now I know. Quinn was born Manuel Antonio Rodolfo Quinn, in Qaxaca, Chihuahua, Mexico.
The last name came down from his paternal Irish grandfather. I was taken in by his wonderful portrayal of Zorba the Greek.
