For me those eyes are far more beautiful than than the details of teh burkah. Would love to see a shot with the focus on them instead. Thanks for sharing.

To me it looks like the eyes are on the same plane of focus as the burka, as well as the chain, and they were hastily blurred in photoshop giving this a sort of badly photoshopped look. I see areas on both the edges of the burka and chain that are blurred, yet should not be blurred. If you did add the blur artificially, I would go back and pay a bit more attention to fine detail. That being said, I think this idea would have been much better executed if you cast her eyes in shadow at the moment of exposure in order to give the idea of mystery, rather than an artificial blur added in post. The edited blur makes this shot hard to connect with because it's not believable.

Interesting image, I can see the direction you were going, but I'm not sure that there's enough separation between the burka and the eyes. There's to much going on with her eyes to not notice, and drags me away from the actual focal point you intended.

the DOF seems all wonky with the OOF area going behind the chain, but the chain remaining in focus.
it looks unnatural. i mean, it is an unnatural set of focus circumstances, but it does seem obviously out of place.

conceptually this is great, but the execution just seems off. for me, its the focus plane. maybe non-photography people wont really latch onto that part, but its hard to get around the chain being pretty distracting since it almost looks superimposed on her face.

It was an experiment and everyone is right as to it being photoshopped to some degree. I lost the other four shots I made of her at varying f/stops to try for this look naturally. Unfortunately the girl left before I could adjust my settings correctly. Oh well, back to the drawing board. Thanks for the comments.
