In my Tintagel post I realised some of you are really into mystic light and moody shots. Here come some more, this time from The Orkney Islands, Ring of Brodgar.

I rescanned my mucked-up ones from yesterday and now I will have to spend HOURS with the cloning tool to get rid of the dust marks!

What is it about that ring?
Is it something similar to the famous Stonehenge?

Do you mean Stonehenge as in those old stones in walking distance to my cousin's house?

Well, that Stonehenge is certainly the best known stone circle, and the most elaborate one. But there are probably thousands of such arrangements all over Britain. Dartmoor, which is my second home almost , alone has I'd guess about 50 to 100 circles and rows of stones, most of them totally ruined though and hard to find these days. I might post some of them at some point.

Well, people north of the alps were actually quite civilized in the stone age times And those monuments like Stonehenge, Newgrange, and whatever where built well before the pyramids.

I think no 1 is my favorite.Alough in no 3 the moon looks bright enough to be the sun in but still the sky is so dark.
