Need a tripod

Looking for a tripod for around 200.00 with head, as a combo or seperately. Would like it to be somewhat portable, but not a necessity. Plan to take it with me to shoot waterfalls and caverns.

Asked for some advice in another section about CP's and ND's and threw the tripod in there, figured it would better fit this section.

You can check out details at GIOTTO'S-Professional Photographic Equipment as well as a lot of different models... I have two of their tripods, and a monopod... they Rock!

Some people have even had some good luck with some of the more inexpensive CF tripods... I am sure someone will speak up.

Probably the best chance for something good in your price range is going to be Giottos or Manfrotto, both well thought of.

I'm 6' tall and it extends enough for me to stand straight up and look through the viewfinder. Also one cool feature is a built-in monopod. The bullhead is very sturdy.

The Globetrotter model just came out.

I was torn between the MeFoto and the Benro Travel Angel. Both are almost identical.

Today just got the titanium globetrotter from samy's. like taking pics at car shows and other events. the look, the lightweight, the monopod feature and the load capacity sold me. will be using it this week asap. should work great with my 70D. can't wait
