Hi!

I'm not familiar with the different Canon 35mm bodies. I am looking fow what would be the cheapest body to buy that can control the EF lenses.

I'm looking for a body with the LCD screen showing aperture.

I've looked at the REBEL X, G and 2000. what other models should I look at?

My intention is to use it do set aperture on modern EF Canon lenses for a micro 43 lens mount.

I will try to take it apart and make the electronics smaller. I would me using the body as a camera. Just the dial to control the lens.

Do any of these bodies show the mm on the LCD screen of the current zoom lens?

Thanks

Max

Any EOS camera will control any EF lens.

I don't know that any of these cameras display the lens's focal length...although, there may be a function in the flash circuitry that has that information. For example, with a dedicated Canon flash (420EX, 550EX, 430EX, 580EX), the flash head will zoom to match the zoom position of the lens.
