Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
I"m a total newbie here and although I've taken literally thousands of photos in my lifetime I still know almost nothing about photography or equipment. So here is my first post here and a call for help from some of you technically oriented people.

I have an older Davis & Sanford Magnum Tripod and I only have one quick release plate for it and would love to have about 5 more to make installing and removing equipment quick and easy. The dizzying about of quick release plates available is confusing to say the least.

Would someone please provide me with a link for what I need such as Amazon or ebay and hopefully with free shipping?

Thanks in advance... :)

Depends upon which head you have, the tripod itself doesn't matter. Check here:

Thanks I had already found stuff like that but I don't know how to tell which head I have based on that.

I don't know why a moderator removed a link to a Davis and Sanford tripod I have so people could see the pictures of one just like mine but this makes it very difficult to get help... <sigh>

I don't see where anyone had a reason to edit anything in this thread. The link to the plates I posted is still here.
Is there a Model Number on the head? Or perhaps you can match your plate with a picture of one of those available. Keep us informed.

I posted a link to a Davis and Sanford tripod on sale on ebay and they removed it. The reason I assume a moderator did it is because I saw this "Last edited by a moderator tToday at 11:43 AM

Trying to match up the quick release plate with pictures of them is impossible because there are many that look identical and it's a size issue that is the main difference. I've looked and looked and there is no model number on the head I have, just the Davis and Sanford name.

I'll try to post pictures of my head and see if the moderator removes that too.... I'm not meaning to be whining and I always try to obey the rules in any forum but this is frustrating.

Here are a few pictures of the head I have now. Hopefully someone can tell me which on this is or what quick release plate I need.

Thanks in advance for any help I can get.

I edited it out because it was reported as spam, and it contained a note regarding affiliation with the seller. But that was embedded by the site owners here, who do have certain affiliations which are more likely to come up during the holidays. Note that "ebay" is also hotlinked.

To the OP: sorry for the confusion - if you'd like to link to this product again, please feel free to do so.

Get a Manfrotto...

Thank you for the explanation.

Thanks Terri but I'm thinking that the pics I took and posted should be enough now.

Also thanks to Razky as well... I think the problem is unsolvable unless someone here can identify which head I have from my pics and can tell me which QR plate to use.
