Like CCericola says, photography encompasses a lot of different specialties, so you're not going to get a specific answer a lot of times on this forum. You'll more likely get 'smart' answers. My recommendation is to find photographers in your area and interview them via email, phone or personally. Most photographers I know are weekend photogs looking to make some decent money on top of their regular job. In order to do this, they have to constantly advertise via blogs, comments on social media, etc. This doesn't require a lot of technical writing, but I'm sure there are other specialties that require different quantity or quality of writing.
